Melodious and Very Easy Study - Étude mélodique et très facile - Etude

This Study Opus 84, No. 6 by Charles Dancla is mainly concerned with detache bowing with an ostinato rythmic pattern of a quarter note followed by two eighth-notes.

The study itself is preceded with an exercise in broken C Major chords using the same rythmic pattern.

This study is excellent for practicing bow division. It ought to be played in the upper part of the bow, and the two eighth-notes must be played swiftly.
