This vocal duet Belle nuit, ô nuit d'amour, also known as Barcarolle, is one of the most famous melodies in the world.

It was composed by Jacques Offenbach (1819-1880) in 1880, as part of his last opera Les Contes d'Hoffmann, which was first performed in Paris in 1881.
