Bridal Chorus

Wedding March - Here Comes the Bride - from Lohengrin - Treulich geführt - Marche nuptiale

This famous Bridal Chorus, also know as Here Comes the Bride, is taken from the romantic opera Lohengrin written and composed by Richard Wagner.

Lohengrin was first performed in Weimar, Germany, on 28 August 1850 under the direction of Franz Liszt, a close friend of Wagner.

The Bridal Chorus is the first scene of Act III in the opera Lohengrin.

As a processional wedding march, it is typically played for the bride's entrance at the beginning of Western wedding ceremonies.

In the opera, however, the chorus is sung after the ceremony by the women of the wedding party, as they accompany Elsa, the heroine and Lohengrin's new wife, to the bridal chamber.

This score is an arrangement for intermediate-level piano or organ.

It is also available in a simplified version for piano or organ.

Duration : 02:23
