Fantaisie in A flat Major - Second movement : Allegro This Allegro is the second of four movements in Georg Philipp Telemann's Fantasia no. 7, TWV 40:20.
It is appropriate for Grade 8 viola students.
Telemann originally composed this Allegro for the violin in the key of E flat Major. This score is a transcription for viola, set in A flat Major.
Telemann's Fantasia no. 7, TWV 40:20 consists of four movements :
- Dolce
- Allegro
- Largo
- Presto
Please note that this score contains ornaments (here, trills) which should be performed in accordance with the performance practice of the Baroque period.
In particular, trills are to begin on the beat, starting on the upper auxiliary note.
