This beautiful Nordic Song by Robert Schumann was originally composed for the piano.
This piece is dedicated to the Danish composer Niels W. Gade (1817-1890).
Notice how the melody notes of the 1st, 5th, 13th and 17th measures, as well as the bass notes of the 9th measure (in the piano part), spell the name G-A-D-E.
This score is an arrangement for violin with piano accompaniment.
The violin part is appropriate for Grade 4 violin players.
It is to be played in the first five positions.
