Five-note scales for piano (tonic to dominant)
These pentascales are in fact five-finger scales going from the tonic to the dominant of each key.They provide an excellent way of introducing beginner piano students to scales and triads.
Our first series of pentascales contains the keys of C, D and G Major as well as A minor.
This sheet music is our second series.
It contains the pentascales for the keys of D, A and F Major, as well as E and D minor.
It also includes the root-position triad of each of these keys.
The student should play each pentascales using both a legato and a staccato touch on the piano.
