This energic Allegro in C Major, Op. 22, No. 6 is the last of six pieces in Elgar's Very Easy Melodious Exercises in the First Position for Violin with Pianoforte Accompaniment, Op. 22.

The violin part of this Allegro is appropriate for Grade 2 violin students.

It can be played entirely in the first position.

This Allegro Op. 22, No. 6 by Edward Elgar features a A-A-B-B-A musical form.

Phrase A (measures 1 to 8 and 17 to 24) is to be played forte and features accented notes and spiccato.

Phrase B (measures 9 to 16) is a contrasting section played in a softer p tone.
