This Allegretto is the second movement of the beautiful three movement Sonatina in G Major, Op. 36, No. 2 by Muzio Clementi.This sonatina has three movements :
- Allegretto
- Allegretto
- Allegro
Please note that in the original edition, the p in measures 25 and 26 appears on the second beat.
Most editors consider this as an error, in comparison with measures 5 and 6 in which the p clearly appears on the third beat.
However, the pianist may choose to play measures 25 and 26 with the p on the second beat, thus creating an interesting contrast to measures 5 and 6.
