This Evening Song by Arthur Le Jeune is a beautiful piece for beginners on the violin.It is to be played entirely in the first position, in the key of G Major.
The violin's melody is made up of half notes only, played one to a bow.
Although we strongly recommend using the fourth finger on the A string, the player can use instead the open E string.
The piano accompaniment consists in broken chords featuring beautifully rich harmonies.
