This Study Op. 45, No. 12 by Franz Wohlfahrt is a thorough study of the (more difficult) key of E flat Major in the first position.It is made up entirely of the bowing pattern : 1 detached, 2 slurred.
This study is to be practiced both with whole bows and then with short and rapid strokes in the middle of the bow.
The violinist should play this study starting both down-bow and up-bow.
