This very easy piece Der Herzhafte [Brave Lad - A Kind Man] is the thirteenth piece in Daniel Gottlob Türk's Handstücke für angehende Klavierspieler.It is set in the key of D Major. Throughout this tuneful piece, both hands play in unison.
Please note the the sign // in measures 2 and 4 is used by Türk to indicate that the note should be played with a lifting touch in order to round-off the end of the phrase.
This sign should NOT be confused with the ornament // (trill) of the Baroque English virginalists.
