This beautiful Nordic Song by Robert Schumann was originally composed for the piano.
This piece is dedicated to the Danish composer Niels Gade (1817-1890).
Notice how the melody notes of the 1st, 5th, 13th and 17th measures, as well as the bass notes of the 9th measure (in the piano part), spell the name G-A-D-E.
This score is an arrangement for descant (soprano) recorder with piano accompaniment.
The descant recorder part is appropriate for Grade 2 descant recorder players.
