This magnificent cantilene Le Cygne [The Swan] by Camille Saint-Saëns is the 13th and penultimate movement of the Carnaval des animaux.The Swan was originally composed for cello and two pianos.
It was first performed in public on March 9, 1886, but was not published until 1922, after the composer's death.
