Panis Angelicus - A Major
From Messe à trois voix, FWV 61, Op. 12This famous Panis Angelicus was composed by César Franck in 1872.
It is the fifth of six movements in Franck's Messe à trois voix, FWV 61.
César Franck composed this Mass in the summer of 1860.
In this first version, written for STB choir and orchestral accompaniment, the fifth movement was an O Salutaris.
