Air in B flat Major, HWV 471
Air - Aria
This Air in B flat Major, HWV 471 by George Frideric Handel was composed ca 1710-1720, during the Baroque period.Handel's Air HWV 471 has a quiet, almost pastoral character.
It features an imitative dialogue between both hands.
This sheet music contains a suggested realization for the cadential trills in measures 11, 19 and 27.
According to the performance practice of the Baroque period, such trills begin ON the beat, on the upper auxiliary note. More on less repercussions may be played depending on the player's taste and ability.
Please note that some editions show a D in measure 22 (second note, right hand). We however believe that to be an error.
