This charming Arietta in E flat Major, Op. 12, No. 1 is the very first of Edvard Grieg's Lyric Pieces.It is based on one of Grieg's favorite melodies, which comes back in the very last of the 66 Lyric Pieces, Remembrances (Efterklang), but this time in a waltz form.
