This Study Opus 84, No. 11 by Charles Dancla is mainly concerned with acciaccaturas and is preceded with an exercise in G minor broken chords played in legato, slurred 4 notes to a bow.

There are also numerous crescendo and decrescendo (hairpins) dynamics.

This is a very lyrical study featuring :
  • expressive dynamics, mainly hairpins over two notes only
  • acciaccaturas, which are grace notes with a line through the stem, and which are played ON the beat. They are to be short but soft, without harshness
