This Menuet in A Major is part of the Notebook for Nannerl Mozart [Notenbuch für Maria Anna (Nannerl) Mozart], 1759-1764.In the notebook, this minuet is written in the hand of Leopold Mozart, but it is probably a work by an unknown composer.
Please note that this score contains suggestions for performing the ornaments (in this case, appoggiaturas) in accordance with the performance practice of the Classical period.
Also, some editions show a D# in measure 12 (right hand); this however does NOT appear in the autograph.
In our sheet music video of this menuet, notice that we have added further ornaments on repeats, which was a common performance practice in Mozart's time.
