Allegro KV 8 from the Notebook for Nannerl
This Allegro K 8 is datedParis, 21 November 1763(in Leopold Mozart's hand).
It is included in the Notebook for Nannerl Mozart [Notenbuch für Maria Anna (Nannerl) Mozart], 1759-1764, where it is written in the hand of Leopold Mozart.
There exists an alternate version for violin and piano in Sonates pour le clavecin, qui peuvent se jouer avec l'Accompagnement de Violon. Paris : 1764. Sonata K. 8 contains four movements : Allegro, Andante, Menuett I and Menuett II.
Please note that the title and tempo marking Allegro are taken from the version for harpsichord and violin.

For better clarity, this score contains suggestions for realizing the ornaments in accordance with the performance practice of the Classical period.
These ornaments are :
- Appoggiaturas (measures 5, 15, 22 and similar) : appogiaturas are to be played on the beat, taking up one half of the main note's value
- Cadential trills (measures 43 and 45) : cadential trills are played ON the beat and begin on the upper auxiliary note. As shown in small print in the score, we suggest adding an termination to cadential trills
