Ubi sunt gaudia - Catch for 6 voices from The Muses Delight

This Canon by English composer Philip Hayes is an excellent piece for beginners on the flute.

It is an arrangement from a Catch for 6 voices in D Major entitled Ubi sunt gaudia [Where are those joys] in Hayes' work The Muses Delight: Catches, Glees, Canzonets and Canons, published in London in 1786.

This arrangement of Hayes's canon Ubi sunt gaudia is set in the key of F Major.

The flute part is easy enough to be played by a beginner flutist.

It uses notes in the range F4 to A5.

Duration : 01:05
