Fantaisie in E flat Major - First movement : Dolce
This Dolce is the first of four movements in Georg Philipp Telemann's Fantasia no. 7 in E flat Major, TWV 40:20.
It is appropriate for Grade 8 violin students.
Telemann's Fantasia no. 7, TWV 40:20 consists of four movements :
- Dolce
- Allegro
- Largo
- Presto
Please note that this score contains suggestions for performing the ornaments (here, appoggiaturas and trills) in accordance with the performance practice of the Baroque period.
In particular, appoggiaturas are played on the beat and take up one half of the main note's value.
Moreover, trills are to begin on the beat, starting on the upper auxiliary note.
Please note also that in measure 14, the V (upbow) indication is editorial.
