This Fantasia in G minor, TWV 33:8 by Georg Philipp Telemann is the eighth fantaisie in the first dozen of the Fantaisies pour le clavessin (3 douzaines).In accordance with the performance practice of the Baroque period, the performer should feel free to add ornaments wherever he thinks appropriate.
In particular, however, ornaments should be added :
- On every note for which Telemann added the symbol +
- At the end of phrases, as cadential trills
