Rigadoons 1 and 2 - Double du 2e Rigaudon from Pièces de clavecin These two Rigaudons, as well as the Double du 2e Rigaudon, were composed by Jean-Philippe Rameau.
They appear in Rameau's Pièces de clavecin as part of the Suite in E minor, RCT 2.
Please note that this score includes suggestions for performing the ornaments (here : trills, mordents and arpégés) in accordance with the performance practice of the Baroque period.
Our suggestions are based on Rameau's own table of ornaments (which he calls Agrémens) at the beginning of his Pièces de clavecin.
Rameau's Rigaudons 1 & 2 et Double is appropriate for Grade 5 piano students.
