This Gigue in D minor by George Frideric Handel is the fifth of six movements in the Suite No. 4 in D minor, HWV 437.

This suite was composed ca 1703-1706, and was first published in London in 1733.

It has six movements :

This Gigue is appropriate for Grade 6 piano or harpsichord students.

Please note that this score contains suggestions for performing the ornaments (here, trills) in accordance with the performance practice of the Baroque period.

Namely, we suggest adding cadential trills in measures 5 and 7.

Also, please note that in measure 9, in the left hand, some editions have an F4 instead of a C4 as the second note of the third beat.
