This beautiful Allemande is the second of five movements in George Frideric Handel's Suite No. 4 in E minor, HWV 429.This suite was first published in London in 1720 as part of Handel's first volume of Suites de pièces pour le clavecin.
Please note that in this score, ornaments in parentheses are editorial.
Please note also that this score contains suggestions for performing the ornaments in accordance with the performance practice of the Baroque period.
In particular, trills begin ON the beat, on the upper auxiliary note.
Also, in measure 6, the trill could be played as a mordent, although in this context we do prefer a short trill.
