This Gigue in C Major, HWV 599 is part of George Frideric Handel's 18 Tunes for Clay's Musical Clock, Set II, HWV 598-604.It was composed during the Baroque period.
This gigue has a simple A-B musical form :
- Measures 1-6 : Phrase A starting in the main key of C Major and modulating to the dominant key of G Major
- Measures 7-12 : Phrase B, beginning in G Major and modulating back to the main key of C Major
