Over the years, the notebook was filled with favorite selections of the members of the Bach family.
This Solo per il cembalo is an early version of the first movement of the Sonata in E flat Major, H 16, W 65/7.

In the Notenbüchlein für Anna Magdalena Bach, it is written in Anna Magdalena's hand, without any attribution, and with this title Solo per il cembalo.
This score is an Urtext edition based on the original manuscripts available.
Please note that this score contains suggestions for performing the ornaments (here, trills) in accordance with the performance practice of the Baroque period.
In particular, trills are played ON the beat, starting on the upper auxiliary note.
Please note also that the slur in measure 61 is editorial as it does not appear in the source, but it is justified by a similar slur in measure 19.
