This Gigue is the second and last movement in Thomas Augustine Arne's Sonata No. 6 in G minor.This sonata is part of Arne's VIII Sonatas or Lessons for the Harpsichord, which were first published in London in 1756.
This Gigue is appropriate for Grade 8 piano or harpsichord players.
Please note that this score contains indications for performing the ornaments (here : trills) in accordance with the performance practice of the Baroque period.
In particular, trills are played on the beat, beginning on the upper auxiliary note.
Please note also that in measure 33, the D# in the right hand is editorial.
